Industries have SPECIAL electrical needs and we know how to fix those for you!

To keep your business working maintenance is key!

There are plenty of things that can go wrong when maintenance isn't monitored or have any programs in place!

Here are some examples that could cost you productivity and hurt your bottom line:

  • Your primary strategy for all electrical equipment is running them to point of failure

  • Down days and shutdowns are not included as part of the production schedule

  • Few electrical tasks are documented, resulting in unexpected electrical jobs and multiple call-outs

  • Storage of electrical maintenance parts that are not in the areas that can be accessed by others when there's a breakdown

  • Few or no electrical charts or  planners

  • Crucial technical information lost or misplaced easily.

Types of Electrical maintenance can we do for you

  • Work with regular "down days" that are scheduled for maintenance

  • Provide check-ups to avoid failures in the first place

  • Follow your documentation procedures

  • Meet your requirements for the storage of technical information

  • Appliance Tag Testing as per the AS/NZS 3760-210+A2

  • Preventative maintenance programmes

Warehousing

Warehousing-electrical-maintenance-.jpg

Warehousing has its challenges, mainly because of the height of buildings, add to that the continues movement of goods, the large number of racks and wiring that is almost always out of easy reach.’

Often these obstacles mean that scissor lifts and high reaching Boomlift are required to be able to do the job.

You know that New Zealand's health and safety law requires business owners to provide specialised training for forklift drivers. Well, Electricians should hold an NZQA Qualified Operator card for Elevating Work Platforms, too, to keep people safe.

There's one other big challenge that Warehousing has to face, Fire!

Because fires are so devastating New Zealand Health & Safety obligations place the responsibility on business owners and operators to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and visitors; in addition there are responsibilities under the 2010 Electricity (Safety) Regulations that specify a range of documentation that should be kept on-site to record electrical work on electrical systems (including electrical system maintenance).

That's a lot to deal with!

We can lift some of this load for you with our knowledge and best practice; we have Health and Safety policies in place so that you can be assured that we fit in with your requirements to make your life easier, and we also have environmental policies as well.

We can organise the Lifts and Booms and drive them (HIANZ accredited).

We can follow or help form Maintenance programmes that fit your operation

Electrical fires make up a high percentage of fire insurance losses and are often the result of a large scale fire incident. Fires are commonly caused by loose electrical connections, weakening of insulation and poor maintenance of electrical equipment.
